I’m Ayesha, a Calgary-based visual artist and illustrator whose work is rooted in rich, detailed visual storytelling.

The collection I am currently developing brings together intricate, William Morris-inspired patterns with calligraphic centrepieces. While these elements are shaping the beginning of my practice, my work is fundamentally an exploration of atmosphere, contrast, ornament and fine detail.

I approach each project as an opportunity to explore new themes, motifs and compositions. From ornate botanical structures to entirely new stylistic directions, I create pieces intended to bring beauty, meaning and visual depth to contemporary spaces.

As my practice continues to evolve, I look forward to allowing each body of work to take on its own visual language.
